Often, the best part of a big night out on the town is getting ready. For a mom with young kids, the opportunity to stand in front of a mirror, adorning yourself while you slowly sift through your thoughts in peace is a rare occurrence. Allowing your mind to wander through your hopes, fears, to do lists and aspirations until they fill the room, lost in a meditative state while methodically applying skincare, hair care and makeup. The body is a temple, and this is a place of worship.
